Panic in Warri as gas plant’s explosion injures one

There was a mild pandemonium at about7:00p.mon Mondayin Warri when a gas plant exploded and injured one person identified as Ohis Eruaga.The gas plant, identified as RMC Cooking Gas Plant, is located at Ileleji Street, off Fani-Kayode road in the heart of Warri.It was gathered that but for the swift efforts of men of the Delta State Fire Service who salvaged the situation at about7:30pm, much human and material damage would have been incurred.

Man bags 2 years imprisonment for impersonating Peace Corps commandant.

A magistrate court sitting in Obubra, Cross River State has sentenced one Mr. James Ochiche to two years imprisonment for impersonating the state Commandant of Nigeria Peace Corps.In a two count charge in suit number MC/779C/2013, Ochiche was accused by the state command of the organization of impersonating as a deputy commandant as well as collecting N5000 to N8000 from unsuspecting members of the public as service charge for recruitment into the service.
