2017 World water day: Nigeria to harness waste water for sustainable development

NIGERIA at the 2017 World Water day, set to harness the goldmine in waste water for sustainable development, the Federal Government on Monday stated.World Water Day is an annual global event usually celebrated on March 22 every year to create awareness on Water Resources Management.It is also a celebration to evaluate the activities of the water sector and its partners.In a statement issued by the Director, Press Unit, Mrs Margaret Umoh in Abuja, she explained that Nigeria will join the rest of the World.

DSS detains five personnel over teachers’ brutalisation in Calabar

Mudiaga Affe, Calabar Five personnel of the Department of State Services have been detained in connection with thebrutalisation of teachersat the Federal Government Girls College in Calabar.It was learnt on Wednesday that the five officials were being detained in the cell of the Cross River State Command of DSS in Calabar. A DSS source, who craved anonymity, said the affected personnel were arrested almost immediately the incident occurred on February 2 for going against the rules and regulations.
