Minister seeks tariff, tax incentives for steel operators.

MINISTER of Mines and Steel Development, Dr Kayode Fayemi,on Friday called on state governments to grant tariff and tax incentives to operators in the steel sector,to enhance industrialisation in the country.Fayemi made the call at a Town Hall meeting organised by his ministry for stakeholders in Abeokuta,Ogun. The minister noted that such a gesture would encourage private sector participation in the industry and subsequently contribute to the industrialisation agenda of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

DSS detains five personnel over teachers’ brutalisation in Calabar

FG inaugurates Committee on Children Accident Prevention Project.

The Implementation/Technical Committee was set up by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu to implement the terms and conditions of the collaboration between the Ministry and Children Accident Prevention Initiatives (CAPI) on the project.Speaking during the inauguration on the Permanent Secretary, Dr Jamila Shua’ra, described the initiative to provide safe environment for school children between ages 4 and 14, using the roads as apt and timely.
