NURTW boss escapes robbery attack in Ibadan Community

South West chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Alhaji Taofeek Oyerinde (Fele) was on Thursday night in Ibadan attacked by suspected armed robbers.Speaking with Tribune Online, Oyerinde who is also the Chairman of NURTW Oyo State chapter disclosed that he was attacked by men who came in two Audi cars around 8:33pm, adding that the quick intervention of the police officers attached to him saved the situation.

DSS detains five personnel over teachers’ brutalisation in Calabar

Mudiaga Affe, Calabar Five personnel of the Department of State Services have been detained in connection with thebrutalisation of teachersat the Federal Government Girls College in Calabar.It was learnt on Wednesday that the five officials were being detained in the cell of the Cross River State Command of DSS in Calabar. A DSS source, who craved anonymity, said the affected personnel were arrested almost immediately the incident occurred on February 2 for going against the rules and regulations.
