Benue Cargo airport will be completed in 2019.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Cargopolis Development Consortium (CDC), Dr Daniel Tarka, has said that the proposed Benue Cargo airport is on course and would be completed as scheduled 2019.Tarka who spoke during the interactive session with representatives of Benue state and staff of federal ministry of transportation, said that the project was in line with the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement would contribute 15 per cent to the construction cost payable, on completion of the project.

DSS detains five personnel over teachers’ brutalisation in Calabar

Mudiaga Affe, Calabar Five personnel of the Department of State Services have been detained in connection with thebrutalisation of teachersat the Federal Government Girls College in Calabar.It was learnt on Wednesday that the five officials were being detained in the cell of the Cross River State Command of DSS in Calabar. A DSS source, who craved anonymity, said the affected personnel were arrested almost immediately the incident occurred on February 2 for going against the rules and regulations.
