Fayose berates DSS over Lagos PDP ex-gov aspirant arrest.

Ekiti State governor and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Governors Forum,Mr Ayodele Fayose,has condemned the arrest and detention of a former governorship aspirant of the party in Lagos State,Babatunde Gbadamosi,by operatives of Department of State Security (DSS),describing the action as a continuation of the tyranny and barbarism of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government.

DSS detains five personnel over teachers’ brutalisation in Calabar

Mudiaga Affe, Calabar Five personnel of the Department of State Services have been detained in connection with thebrutalisation of teachersat the Federal Government Girls College in Calabar.It was learnt on Wednesday that the five officials were being detained in the cell of the Cross River State Command of DSS in Calabar. A DSS source, who craved anonymity, said the affected personnel were arrested almost immediately the incident occurred on February 2 for going against the rules and regulations.

FG inaugurates Committee on Children Accident Prevention Project.

The Implementation/Technical Committee was set up by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu to implement the terms and conditions of the collaboration between the Ministry and Children Accident Prevention Initiatives (CAPI) on the project.Speaking during the inauguration on the Permanent Secretary, Dr Jamila Shua’ra, described the initiative to provide safe environment for school children between ages 4 and 14, using the roads as apt and timely.
