NSCDC rescues 15-year-old student from kidnappers in Maiduguri

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Sunday disclosed that it’s operatives rescued a student of El-kanemi Islamic Collage of Theology, Maiduguri from kidnappers.The Borno Commandant of the corps, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, on Sunday said Abdulkarim Garba, 15, was abducted by suspected kidnappers and dumped at Njimtilo area in Maiduguri about 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Abdullahi said that the victim, who is from Yobe, resides at Kasuwar Grain area in Potiskum.He said, “At about 14:00 our personnel on routine

DSS detains five personnel over teachers’ brutalisation in Calabar

Mudiaga Affe, Calabar Five personnel of the Department of State Services have been detained in connection with thebrutalisation of teachersat the Federal Government Girls College in Calabar.It was learnt on Wednesday that the five officials were being detained in the cell of the Cross River State Command of DSS in Calabar. A DSS source, who craved anonymity, said the affected personnel were arrested almost immediately the incident occurred on February 2 for going against the rules and regulations.
